Our Story; why we started Leach Family Farms

After searching for our dream property for more than a year, we finally found our forever property—a place where we could build a farm that truly nourishes both the land and the people who depend on it.

For us, farming isn’t just about growing food; it’s about stewarding Gods creation so it can abundantly provide for us and anyone that eats our pasture raised products. We believe food is medicine—what you put into your body matters it shapes your health, energy, and overall well-being. The best way to ensure high-quality, nourishing food is to grow it ourselves, with integrity & transparency.

But we are doing more than just growing food, we’re building a family culture where our kids are part of the process. We don’t want to be too busy working away from them—we want to work with them. Whether it’s raising animals, planting, or learning about the land, our children are right beside us, gaining hands-on experience and an understanding of where real food comes from.

Thankfully, Corey grew up on a cattle ranch and has a strong foundation in animal husbandry. He understands the basics of raising livestock, and together, we’re committed to taking our farm to the next level—learning, growing, and implementing regenerative practices that nourish both the land animals and the people that are apart of it.

After years of working as a nurse and witnessing first hand how unhealthy our population really is. Courtnee became passionate about preventative health strategies, and that started with feeding her family real, nutrient-dense foods—foods that fuel the body, support immunity, and help her kids grow strong and healthy. She’s determined to bring back ancestral nourishment—raising food the way it was meant to be: clean, simple, and deeply nourishing.

At Leach Family Farms, we’re not just raising animals—we’re raising food that supports a thriving, healthy life. And we’re so grateful to have you on this journey with us!!

Pasture Raised Pork

Our pasture-raised pork is raised with care, respect, and plenty of room to roam. At Leach Family Farms, our pigs spend their days rooting in the soil, soaking up sunshine, and enjoying a natural diet that includes forages, grains, and garden extras. This slower, more natural way of raising pigs not only gives them a great life but also results in rich, flavorful, and nutrient-dense pork that’s noticeably different from conventionally raised meat. Our pigs help build healthy soil and regenerate the land — creating a full-circle system that nourishes the animals, the earth, and your family.

Pasture Raised Chickens

Our chickens are pasture-raised the way nature intended — free to roam, scratch, and forage on open grass under the Alberta sky. Every day, they enjoy a fresh rotation of pasture, which not only keeps them happy and healthy but also enriches the soil through regenerative practices. This natural lifestyle produces nutrient-dense meat packed with higher levels of vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats compared to conventionally raised poultry. By letting our birds live and eat as they were designed to, we create food that truly nourishes your family from the inside out.

Free-Range Eggs

Our laying hens thrive on open pasture in a mobile coop, free to roam, scratch, and forage while staying safe behind an electric fence. Their diet is supplemented with locally grown, organic feed from farmers who share our values. In the warmer months, they’re moved to fresh grass often, and in winter they stay cozy near our home with room to explore. This natural lifestyle and sunshine-rich diet produce eggs that are nutrient-dense, full of flavor, and packed with vitamin D — a wholesome choice you can feel good about.

Grass-fed and finished Beef

Our grass-fed, grass-finished beef is coming soon! Our cows are an important part of our mission to regenerate the soil and steward the land well. We rotate them to fresh pasture every three days, allowing the grass time to rest and regrow while the cows enjoy nutrient-rich forage. This mindful rhythm improves soil health, supports thriving ecosystems, and produces flavorful, nutrient-dense beef you can feel good about serving your family. Our first harvest will be available next season!.
